Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers with heavy duty parts questions and needs
-
Take orders from walk-in customers, over the phone and by email
-
Provide excellent customer service to both shop and field technicians and assist at the counter with external parts.

Clearly and effectively communicate product features, benefits and warranty policy to customers

Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed including coding, costing and pricing
-
Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.

Locates out-of-stock parts from an outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.

Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.

Wrap or bag merchandise for customers and assist in loading to their vehicle

Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude and show professionalism in conduct and appearance at all times

Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on the service repair order.

Prepare invoice, receives payment from retail customers, or obtain credit authorization.

Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.

Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
-
Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.

Solicits assigned accounts by phone.

Help with shipping and receiving when required

Help keep display areas clean and organized

Be available at fiscal yearend to help with inventory

Pick customer orders

Be available to work a Saturday shift and be on-call after hours
-
Adhere to Fleet Brake’s published policies and procedure

Any other duties assigned by the supervisor not far outside my expertise and training.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or the equivalent
-
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
-
Excellent Customer Service Skills
-
Basic computer skills (Windows, Explorer, Outlook, knowledge of Karmak is an asset)

Knowledge and experience in Heavy Duty parts
-
Knowledge of Heavy Duty cataloging and/or inventory management systems
-
Exceptional customer service and communication skills (both written & verbal)
-
Ability to learn in a fast-paced retail sales environment

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence.
-
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
